The Daily Listen seems to be less than daily. Call it aspirational.

At any rate, here's less than a week's worth of quality. This week's music is representative of the goal of this project in that it contains a little bit of everything. Fringe electronic experimentation. Traditional tunes from across the world. Jazz blended with Nigerian dance. big blood! All this and a killer vaporwave comp.

I've switched to sourcing music from Bandcamp rather than the Internet Archive for a cleaner embed and a lesser chance the music disappears. Like what you hear? Give it a purchase.

What's the Daily Listen?

Every morning, I swap out the daily listen on the Daily Eclectoid home page. This daily listen is an embedded album or music mix from the Internet Archive. I don't post anything I haven't listened to, so this serves as a means for me to constantly explore and curate. You can benefit from this by unmuting and staying awhile!

Every Sunday, I log the previous Sunday through Saturday weekly listens in a blog post. If I sustain this, there will soon be a need for a better system to log these listens for quicker access. For now, look in the Daily Eclectoid Archive for the recaps.

Happy listening!

VaporVA Compilation Vol. 2 (2026)
Various Artists

Not representative of vaporwave as a whole, but what is? You could do worse than to hand this to someone with no knowledge of the microgenre and just let them vibe. Equal parts relaxing and dancable. Put this on repeat.

Big Blood & The Bleedin' Hearts (2008)
Big Blood

Eleven lo-fi psycho-delic (you heard me) folk tunes to listen to alone in the woods while its raining. To listen is to love it. Put "Graceless Lady" on repeat.
